This fall, more than 160 Bay Area women will serve as Professional Mentors (PMs) and Cultural Mentors (CMs) to 99 Emerging Leaders (ELs) arriving at the end of the month.
TechWomen mentors are volunteers that help make the program happen. From mentoring ELs at their workplace for project-based mentorships, to sharing the diverse culture of the Bay Area, to offering support and resources during the ELs’ five weeks in the U.S., TechWomen mentors go above and beyond to support the program.
We’ve created the infographic below to showcase our mentor community for the 2015 program. Here are some highlights:
- 20 host companies are new to the program this year, including: 500 Startups, Eventbrite, GoPro and Tesla. Visit our partner page for a full list of companies.
- 80% of Cultural Mentors are returning for another year of TechWomen – welcome back!
- 22 Professional Mentors work at green tech companies, including: SolarCity, SunEdison, SunPower, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), Tesla and SunRun.
