Guest post by Christie McCarthy, 2014 Cultural Mentor
This is a montage of my experience as a mentor to Asal Ibrahim for TechWomen 2014. It’s set to original music by yours truly.
The Rising Tide
We’re going forward, not back
We’re going upwards on a fast track
We’re going out with our friends
We go together, we represent
Baby, we got the key to opportunity
Baby, can’t you see we’re making history
We’re the rising tide that lifts all
We understand the work of our dreams
We’re good at math, we’re good at everything
Fresh set of eyes, fresh set of skills
Women on the rise are the new economies of scale
Baby, we got the key to opportunity
Baby, can’t you see we’re making history
We’re the rising tide that lifts all boats
