My Techwomen experience has been more than enriching this far.It has reminded me of the power of mentorship.I think of it with alot of emotions as i have had many mentors and taken for granted.I have been mentored all through my school years by my parents teachers and friends who made me who i am today.I carry a piece of each my mentors who have role modelled me to be what i am.I have grown to become an Engineer and STEM teacher very passionate about the outcome of my students.It does not just happen,it is the result of the mentoring and role modelling i have picked all along the way from elementary school through university.Now,i have become a professional,I am very thankful to Techwomen,for reminding me and empowering me to give back, beyond what i received but to go ahead and give an entire generation of girls control over their lives and make them know they donot need to negociate their success !
