The Anita Borg Institute (ABI) is providing TechWomen with a $35,000 award to sponsor nine alumnae and one 2015 Emerging Leader to attend the Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC) of Women in Computing – the world’s largest gathering of women technologists.
This year’s theme for GHC is #OurTimeToLead, and we couldn’t agree more – now, more than ever, women’s leadership in STEM fields is critical. With ABI’s support, we will continue empowering alumnae to lead and make an impact in their careers and communities.
We’re looking forward to welcoming alumnae to Houston for GHC 2015 in October. A selection committee consisting of ABI partners and TechWomen mentors will choose the TechWomen to attend. In August, we’ll announce the selected alumnae and share more about their work since their participation in the TechWomen program. A special thank you to ABI for making this opportunity possible for TechWomen!
In the meantime, to learn more about the conference, join the conversation on women in tech by adding #OurTimeToLead to your tweets!
