We are pleased to present What is TechWomen: A video montage which showcases TechWomen Mentors and Mentees from the 2011 program. Each woman describes the program in her own words. We encourage you to apply to participate in the program! The online application for Mentees opens December 15, 2011. The mentor application will be available March 1, 2012.
Harnessing the power of business, technology and innovation, TechWomen brings emerging women leaders in the technology sectors from the Middle East and North Africa together with their American counterparts for a professional mentorship and exchange program at leading companies in the United States. To learn more about the program, visit the TechWomen website at www.techwomen.org.

This is truly wonderful….getting short clips of comments from the real TechWomen mentees and mentors. Bridge to cultural awareness and understanding for sure! I am so delighted to have been a cultural mentor with TechWomen 2011. Thank you!

The opportunity to participate for this program is only for the Middle East and North Africa. Why it is not possible for Asian women?

Unfortunately, at this time, we are only accepting applicants who have permanent residency in Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, the Palestinian Territories, Tunisia or Yemen.
If you are interested in exchange programs, please take a look at the Institute of International Education program finder (http://www.iie.org/en/Program-Finder) and the website of the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (http://exchanges.state.gov/).

This create a challenge for me, If I got the chance to participate and be a member of a Techwomen team 2012, after I will back, it will be an ideal time to reflect on my international experience, which hopefully opened my eyes, broadened my horizons, and given me an experience I won’t forget.
