We are thrilled to be hosting two great events for the TechWomen program on February 13th in San Francisco and Mountain View. The Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Professional and Cultural Exchanges, Lee Satterfield, will speak at the events to share the Department of State’s vision and objectives for its TechWomen initiative. The events will focus on providing current and prospective TechWomen partner companies and Mentors with an overview of the TechWomen 2012 program. We will have a panel of TechWomen 2011 Mentors at each event. This will also be a great networking opportunity for those in attendance.
TechWomen is a very high profile initiative launched by Secretary Clinton in 2011. Last year many of the most innovative companies in Silicon Valley and the Bay Area participated. We would appreciate any help in spreading the word about these events among women in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are seeking women working in technology fields, including ICT, renewable energy, engineering and others to serve as professional Mentors, as well as those working in other professional fields, to serve as Cultural Mentors to women coming from the Middle East and North Africa. It truly is a valuable endeavor for the partner companies and the individual women who participate. If you are interested in attending one of the events, please email us at [email protected] for more information.
