What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?
My most valuable contribution to the TechWomen mentorship will be my expertise in community building, hosting professional events, and business analysis. As the founder of the Business Analysts Community in Bishkek, which grew from three to over five hundred members, I have honed my skills in fostering professional networks and organizing impactful events. I can share my knowledge on business analysis, particularly in documentation management, to enhance the mentor's team capabilities. Additionally, I am driving system analysis and AI initiatives within EPAM Systems, and I believe my expertise in these areas can also benefit the program.
The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship
- How products are built in top tech companies from a project management perspective.
- How top tech companies identify client needs and understand what to build.
- How companies build self-organized, mature teams.
Mentorship Characteristic
- Attend company-wide meetings and/or team meetings
- Have exposure to the company culture
- Focus on leadership skills building
- Identify a short-term project I can work on at the partnering company
- Have exposure to specialized industry techniques
Ideal Company Type
My ideal mentor understands product development and how to build a self-organized, motivated team. Additionally, I would like them to guide me in enhancing my leadership style, teach me how to build a strong professional network, and navigate company culture and processes. I seek an open-minded mentor who manages a large team since I'm transitioning as Head of a company location with 100+ employees. It would be a plus if they work within a Scrum/LeSS (Agile) framework in a product-oriented company.
What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?
- Proactive
- Reliable
- Great communicator
What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?
Collaborating with a U.S.-based mentor through the TechWomen program will significantly impact my career by enhancing my leadership skills and expanding my global network. This experience will empower me to become the Country Head for Business Analysis Practice in Kyrgyzstan and potentially beyond. I aim to learn how great company cultures are created and how successful products are developed. Expanding my global network will also benefit my community management activities and entrepreneurial goals, helping me foster a thriving professional environment in Kyrgyzstan.
After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?
After participating in the TechWomen program, I will leverage my experience to create impactful change in Kyrgyzstan by utilizing my expanded network to support and mentor local talent. I aim to establish partnerships that transform our Business Analysts Community into a recognized hotspot for Business Analysts in Central Asia. I will share insights and experiences from the program through mentorship and educational initiatives, encouraging women and girls to pursue careers in technology. By bridging local talents with international opportunities, I will help advance the IT industry in Kyrgyzstan, inspired by the support and inspiration from TechWomen alumni.
