What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?
My most valuable contribution to the TechWomen mentorship program would be a combination of my extensive experience in financial management, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills, all this while fostering growth and empowerment within the tech community.
The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship
- Learn how great startups launch and how they open new markets
- Management of GIS data platform and/or social platform
- Learn fundraising and partnership building abilities
Mentorship Characteristic
- Visit an office or attend a site-visit
- Focus on leadership skills building
- Expand on a project that I’m working on in my current role at home
- Exposes me to new tools and platforms
- Gets me involved in day-to-day activities of the mentor and partnering company.
Ideal Company Type
My ideal mentorship is at a startup or with an entrepreneur or investor who works on social platforms, real estate projects or satellite imagery companies. I am seeking companies and individuals who beat the odds and made themselves a place in a difficult protective market. This company or mentor would have established experience in sales, growth, marketing and business development, both B2B and B2C, while facing competition to emerge as a leader in the field. I am looking to connect with strategists who know how to play the market, open new markets and build great partnerships that last and who have interests in mentoring long-term.
What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?
- Solution-oriented
- Creative
- Ambitious
What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?
I am expecting this mentorship to be a life changing experience and leverage for me and my startup. First with access to a mentor who will share their knowledge of the startup world to ease me into some complex decisions and actions that I have to take in my current roles as a CEO and Founder of a startup. Second is access to a new global network of peers, startups, eventual partners and possibly investors to generate and build for the future of my current entrepreneurial or social endeavors. Lastly, and most importantly, a professional learning experience but also one of self-discovery from exposure to a new world and a new culture to challenge and question habitual ways of doing and the opportunity to better my self personally and professionally.
After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?
My startup has social justice and equality goals. I believe that participating in the TechWomen program will enable me to better manage my startup, expand my network and gain technological or business partnerships to level up my work. Succeeding and leveling up my startup is an efficient way to impact my home country and community. Beyond my startup project, I always aspire to mentor entrepreneurs in my native city. I even envision founding a center to empower young entrepreneurs, artists, artisans and all creators with mentorship programs, funding and partnership opportunities.
