What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?
My most valuable contribution is my passion for engineering and analytical problem-solving skills. I aim to fit all the pieces of a jigsaw together into a complete picture and because of my curious nature the jigsaw keeps expanding with the discovery of every piece. This is how I drive innovation all around me. I am also a strategic thinker and normally see emerging challenges and available opportunities in most situations. I enjoy learning new concepts and believe adaptability requires learning, unlearning, and relearning, which are skills that have benefited me to this point of my professional life.

An organizational culture that fosters change in this ever-disruptive industrial sector, promote innovation and results driven thinking will be an ideal match. I will also want to learn from a company that has leveraged digital transformation processes in engineering design and technology development.

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?
My goal is to advance in leadership positions within the engineering fraternity. The business world is evolving and becoming more technical, requiring interdependency between engineering and business, and ensuring inclusive policy making decisions. I live by the saying "Be the Change you Want to See", this means to influence policies, decision making, transformational innovation, and diversity in my country I need to be at the forefront of change. I hope that collaboration with a U.S based mentor will assist me to gain insights into inspirational and transformational leadership, sustainable results-driven business strategy formation and implementation, together with digital transformation strategies.
After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?
The skills learned will be applied in my current position towards the realization of business goals in the engineering environment and will assist to proactively seek areas of business opportunities in my organization. In addition, the experience gained will empower my community and work colleagues through knowledge sharing. We require more change agents in my country and hence the knowledge I gain will be disseminated in a domino effect manner. I want to continue to mentor young women in STEM fields. I will use the TechWomen network to learn from their startup journeys and lesson learned for successful implementation.
