What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?
Currently, as a Public Health Specialist and a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, my future career plan is to engage in public health consultancies, research , development and data analysis in relation to a broad range of healthcare interventions. While I will gain new domains of knowledge, I am hopeful that my collaboration with a U.S. base mentor will develop my professional practice with new and enhanced techniques. I would like to improve my problem assessment tools to ultimately more accurately use data to inform policy decision making. I hope that my mentor supports me in developing my analytical and research skills for a more competitive career.
After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?
After participating in the TechWomen fellowship I intend to start a mobile healthcare company. The company will provide urgent and comprehensive risk analytics to improve the world's resilience to epidemics by delivering actionable, data-driven insights that help countries, governments and corporations manage and mitigate infectious diseases. Upon my return to my home, I also intend on hosting basic computer trainings for high school teenage girls in hard to reach communities in Sierra Leone. I will engage with an encourage girls at the community level on the importance of STEM fields and careers.
