During the 2024 program, Emerging Leaders (ELs) developed impact projects to address a socioeconomic challenge in their local communities. Each country cohort was paired with Impact Coaches to guide the group through the project planning process. At the Ideation Workshop, ELs identified issues in their home countries and began to build a blueprint for their impact project. Each group further developed and refined their impact project at the Impact Design Workshop. Teams perfected their pitches at the Pitch Workshop. At Pitch Day, each of the 21 teams shed light on their community challenge and presented innovative solutions based on their collective knowledge, skills and newfound resources. Judges evaluated each impact project based on potential for impact, sustainability and scale. The top teams – Team Algeria, Team Kenya, Team Morocco, Team Nigeria, Team Pakistan, Team Sierra Leone, and Team Uzbekistan – were announced at the Community Celebration and received a $3,000 seed grant to kick-start implementation of their project.
